Tigers 60 Valley Miners 17

Tigers move closer to play-off spot
Third place Newport’s loss means Torfaen Tigers are only one point behind after their 60-17 home win over Swansea Valley Miners.

Simon Bevan replied for Swansea to make the half time score 40-13.

Torfaen didn’t let up in the second half as they scored five more tries. Welsh international Damien Hudd lead the way with two while Jason Reed, Craig Jones and Jason Hill got one each. Andrew Ford’s try for Swansea was their only consolation.
